With its 1 inch BSP inlet/outlet,not only does the system deliver a flow rate of 75lpm through the filter,but can also be bushed up or down, depending on the pipe size presently used.

Ideally installed between a pressure pump and home, or where there is at least 4metre head for gravity feed applications, the Big White is far superior to stock standard 3/4 or 1/2in filter housings commonly found in the outback.

The system can use any one of a myriad of different cartridges, all varying in quality ,performance and price.The 2 most popular are the melamine resin and the granular activated carbon.

The melamine resin is best for dirt,rust,sediment and wriggler applications.It flows at an incredible 75lpm and is washable and reusable without flow rate drop or pump backpressure.

Great for protecting hot water services,whiter whites and just cleaner.fresher water.

The GAC or carbon filter,designed in this instance for great flow,is required in instances where smells,tates or odours occur.

Where tannin is a problem,especially from decaying or rotting vegetation occuring within the tank,sometimes the melamine resin will remove it, if not severe,wheras the GAC will always remove it.

Please note that the GAC should never beused without adequate prefiltration in front of it.The ideal scenario in this case for longer filter life,better flow rate and great results is a combination of both bfilters in line, one after each other.
